1996 FORD BRONCO XLT 4X4
5.8L 351 V8 • 160K ACTUAL MILES • RUST FREE • NORTHWEST OWNED
ALL ORIGINAL • FACTORY ALUMINUM WHEELS • BFG TIRES • RARE PAINTED STRIPES
Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find 1996 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 finished in white with hand-painted blue accent stripes and a beautiful factory blue leather interior.
If you have been searching for a clean, solid, original final-year Ford Bronco that hasn’t been rusted out, heavily modified, lifted, cut up, or turned into somebody else’s project, this is one you will definitely want to take a close look at.
This Bronco has 160,000 actual original miles and is powered by the desirable 5.8-liter 351 V8 engine. It runs and drives amazing, everything is in working order, and it has been Northwest-owned its entire life.
Most importantly, this is a rust-free Bronco.
With these full-size Broncos becoming more collectible and harder to find every year, condition and originality are everything. There are plenty of Broncos for sale, but finding a solid, original, rust-free example with the right V8, XLT equipment, factory leather interior and classic period-correct appearance is becoming a completely different story.
1996 — THE FINAL YEAR
The 1996 Ford Bronco represents the final year of the legendary full-size Bronco before Ford ended production of this generation.
That alone makes a clean 1996 example special.
This generation of Bronco has developed a huge following because it combines the unmistakable classic Ford truck appearance with a comfortable interior, V8 power, four-wheel-drive capability and the removable rear roof that made the Bronco such an iconic vehicle.
This particular Bronco has the look you want.
The white exterior with the hand-painted blue accent stripes gives it an incredible old-school appearance that immediately takes you back to the era when these Broncos were new.
It isn’t trying to look like a modern SUV.
It still looks exactly like what it is — a classic full-size Ford Bronco.
5.8L 351 V8
Under the hood is Ford’s legendary 5.8-liter 351 cubic-inch V8 engine.
For anyone familiar with these OBS-era Ford trucks and Broncos, the 351 is a fantastic engine combination and is one of the engines enthusiasts specifically look for.
This Bronco currently has 160K actual original miles and runs and drives amazing.
The engine runs strong, the Bronco drives down the road nicely, and everything is currently working as it should.
This isn’t a Bronco that has been sitting forgotten for years waiting for somebody to bring it back to life. It is a running and driving vehicle that can actually be enjoyed.
ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION
One of my favorite things about this Bronco is how original it remains.
So many of these Broncos have been heavily modified over the years. Finding one that hasn’t been turned into a giant lifted mud truck or completely changed from its original configuration is becoming increasingly difficult.
This Bronco remains in all-original condition and still has the classic appearance Ford intended.
It sits on its factory Ford aluminum wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires, which gives it exactly the right stance.
No oversized modern wheels.
No crazy modifications.
No unnecessary changes.
Just a clean, classic, full-size Bronco with the right look.
BEAUTIFUL BLUE FACTORY LEATHER INTERIOR
Open the door and the classic 1990s Ford look continues.
The Bronco has its original factory blue leather interior, including the original front bucket seats and center console.
The blue interior looks fantastic against the white exterior and blue exterior striping. It is one of those classic color combinations that you simply don’t see on modern vehicles anymore.
The interior retains the original character that makes these Broncos so enjoyable.
The original bucket seats, center console and factory-style layout are all still there.
Everything is currently working as it should, making this a Bronco you can get into and actually enjoy rather than immediately starting a restoration project.
RUST-FREE NORTHWEST BRONCO
When you’re buying an older Ford Bronco, one of the first questions should always be:
How much rust does it have?
Rust has destroyed countless Broncos over the years.
That is what makes this example so desirable.
This Bronco has been Northwest-owned its entire life and is rust free.
The body is extremely solid for its age, and finding a solid original Bronco is becoming more important every year.
Mechanical items can be serviced.
Tires can be replaced.
Interior pieces can be repaired.
But starting with a good, solid, rust-free body makes all the difference in the world.
This Bronco has that foundation.
FAMILY-OWNED HISTORY
This Bronco has essentially been family-owned and had only two actual owners throughout its life.
AutoCheck currently shows four owners, but that appears to be due to registration/title changes within the ownership history. To the best of our knowledge, the Bronco has actually remained with only two owners/families throughout its life.
We want to disclose exactly what the history report shows rather than simply calling it a two-owner vehicle without explanation.
That long-term ownership history also helps explain how this Bronco has remained so complete and original after all these years.
160,000 ACTUAL ORIGINAL MILES
This Bronco currently shows 160K actual original miles.
For a 1996 vehicle, that works out to relatively modest use over approximately three decades.
More importantly, this Bronco has remained intact.
It hasn’t been destroyed by rust.
It hasn’t been heavily modified.
It hasn’t lost the original interior.
It hasn’t been converted into something completely different.
It is still a classic full-size Bronco that looks and feels like a Bronco should.
FACTORY ALUMINUM WHEELS & BFG TIRES
The Bronco still wears its factory Ford aluminum wheels, wrapped in BFGoodrich tires.
This setup looks absolutely right on the truck.
The factory aluminum wheels maintain the original appearance, while the BFG tires give it the classic rugged 4x4 stance that fits a full-size Bronco perfectly.
There is something about an original OBS Ford sitting on factory aluminum wheels and BFGoodrich tires that just looks right.
CONDITION
We want to describe this Bronco accurately.
This is a 1996 vehicle, so it is approximately 30 years old. It is not being represented as a brand-new vehicle or a flawless concours restoration.
There are a few blemishes here and there consistent with its age and normal use.
Please look closely at all of the pictures and feel free to ask any questions.
With that said, the overall condition is extremely impressive for the age.
The body is solid.
It is rust free.
The interior remains original.
The factory wheels are still present.
The drivetrain runs strong.
Everything is working.
And the Bronco still has the classic appearance that makes these vehicles so desirable.
I would much rather have an honest, solid, original Bronco with a handful of normal age-related blemishes than one that has been completely taken apart, patched for rust, modified beyond recognition or poorly restored.
This one has survived.

THESE BRONCOS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND
Anyone who has been watching the OBS Ford market knows what has happened to clean full-size Broncos.
For years these were simply used as trucks and SUVs. They were driven in the snow, used off-road, modified, lifted, repainted and eventually rusted away.
Nobody thought much about preserving them when they were just used vehicles.
Now, decades later, people are realizing how special they were.
That means the genuinely solid and original examples are becoming much harder to find.
This is especially true for a 1996, the final production year of this generation.
You can always find another Bronco advertised somewhere.
But finding another 1996 XLT with the 5.8L 351 V8, original blue leather interior, factory aluminum wheels, BFG tires, rust-free Northwest history and this classic white-and-blue appearance may take some searching.
A TRUE CLASSIC FORD
There is a reason these Broncos have such a loyal following.
They have the classic squared-off Ford body lines, real V8 power, a proper truck-based 4x4 drivetrain, plenty of interior room and an appearance that is instantly recognizable.
These were built during an era when SUVs still felt like trucks.
Get behind the wheel and you immediately understand the appeal.
The seating position, visibility, long hood, V8 sound and overall driving experience are completely different from today’s crossovers and SUVs.
It is a vehicle with personality.
DRIVE IT, ENJOY IT OR PRESERVE IT
This Bronco could go in several different directions depending on what its next owner wants.
Keep it exactly as it is and enjoy it.
Use it as a weekend cruiser.
Take it to local car and truck shows.
Add it to an OBS Ford collection.
Or simply drive and enjoy one of the most recognizable American SUVs ever built.
The nice part is that you are starting with a solid, rust-free and original Bronco rather than somebody else’s unfinished project.
